Regulation made by the Governor in Council under section 3 of the Licensing Ordi-. nance, 1887, Ordinance No. 8 of 1887, on the 10th day of August, 1929.
The regulations relating to hawkers set forth on pages 117 to 133 of the Regulations of llong Kong, 1844-1925, amended as appears in Government Notifications No. 486 of 1927 and Nos. 360, 583 and 623 of 1928, are hereby further amended as follows,—
(a) by the insertion of an asterisk next after the words "in the harbour of Hong Kong" in forms C and D in the First Schedule, and by the addi- tion, opposite such words, of the following marginal note-* Or as the case may be”; and
(b) by the substitution in condition 6 of the conditions of hawkers (native craft) licence, in the Second Schedule, of the words "except that, in the junk anchorages, wares may be hawked up to 12 midnight" for the words "except that, in the junk anchorages, wares may be hawked up to 11 p.m.".

Regulations made by the Governor in Council under section 23 of the Waterworks Ordinance, 1903, Ordinance No. 16 of 1903, on the 15th day of August, 1929.
The regulations made by the Governor in Council under section 23 of the Water- works Ordinance, 1903, and appearing on pages 307 to 322 of the Regulations of Hong Kong, 1844-1925, are amended as follows:-
1. The following regulation is inserted in the said regulations immediately after

1A. No person shall wilfully or negligently misuse or waste, or cause or allow to be misused or wasted, any water taken from a public foun- tain or public tank.

2. Regulation 8 of the said regulations is amended by the insertion of the words altera- or on account of any other reason immediately after the word tion" in the second line thereof, and by the addition of the following words at the end thercof:-
, or, at the discretion of the Water Authority, according to the average daily rate of consumption during the period between the two succes- sive readings immediately succeeding the fixing of a new meter or the refixing of the old mcter.”
3. Regulation 13 of the said regulations is amended by the insertion of the words with such variations (if any) as the Water Authority may consider desira- ble," immediately after the word "regulations" in the fifth line thereof.
4. The following note is added to Form C in the Schedule to the above regula-
tions:-
NOTE. This form may be altered by the Water Authority as he may consider desirable.
