The rainfall for the month of May at the Botanical Gardens was 7ins. '00 on 12 days, at the Matilda Hospital, Mount Kellett, it was 5ins. 48 on 16 days, at the Royal Hong Kong Golf Club, Fanling, it was 3ins. 53 on 8 days, and at the Police Station, Taipo, it was 3ins. 97 on 12 days.
The lowest reading of the barometer (M.S.L.) was 29ins. 610 at 4h. on the 26th.
The maximum squall velocity, as recorded by the Dines-Baxendell anemograph, was at the rate of 45 miles per hour at 10h. 04m. on the 4th.
