The rainfall for the month of January at the Botanical Gardens was lins. 30 on 5 days, at the Matilda Hospital, Mount Kellett, it was Oins. 90 on 7 days, and at the Police Station, Taipo, it was lins. 48 on 5 days.
The lowest reading of the barometer (M.S.L.) was 29ins. 877 at 15h. and 16h. on the- 30th.
The maximum gust velocity, as recorded by the Dines-Baxendell anemograph, was at the rate of 47 miles per hour at 21h. 52m. on the 15th.
