No. 73.-The following Order made by Elis Excellency the Governor under section 2 of the Public Revenue Protection Ordinance, 1927, Ordinance No. 9 of 1927, is pub- lished for general information.

Order made by the Governor under section 2 of the Public Revenue Protection Ordi- nance, 1927, Ordinance No. 9 of 1927, at six p.m. on the twelfth day of February, 1929.
WHEREAS I, Sir CECIL CLEMENTI, Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Governor and Commander-in-Chief of the Colony of Hong Kong and its Dependencies and Vice-Admiral of the same, have approved of the introduction into the Legislative Council of the bill annexed hereto and signed by me and intituled An Ordinance to amend the law relating to the taxation of tobacco: AND WHEREAS certain duties or taxes would be imposed or altered if the said bill were to become law: NOW I HEREBY, under the powers conferred on me by the Public Revenue Protection Ordinance, 1927, make this ORDER giving the full force and effect of law to all the provisions of the said bill so long as this order remains in force.
