No. 182. His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint U SHUN () to be a "Forest Officer" for the control and superintendence of the forests of the Colony.

COLONIAL SECRETARY'S DEPARTMENT.

No. 183. It is hereby notified that the Artillery Company of the Hongkong Defence Corps will be required to perform regular military duties, with effect from the 17th May until further notice.

No. 184. It is hereby notified, with reference to Government Notification No. 153 of the 26th April, 1918, that the Commodore has appointed Lieutenant HENRY PORAZ MUDIE, R.N.R., to be Officer in charge of the Examination Service vice Lieutenant FRE- DERICK MEDWAY, R.N., with effect from the 13th May, 1918.

No. 185. The following notification is published for general information.

TRADING WITH THE ENEMY AMENDMENT ACT, 1916.

Orders have been made by the Board of Trade requiring the undermentioned businesses to be wound up :----

This list gives all the Orders published in the Hongkong Gazette up to the 31st December, 1917. Subsequent Orders have been published in the Hongkong Gazettes of the 25th January, 8th February, and 10th May, 1918.
