No. 671.-His Majesty the KING has not been advised to exercise his power of disallowance with respect to the following Ordinance :-

Ordinance No. 14 of 1928.-An Ordinance to apply a sun not exceeding Nine- teen million four hundred and seventy-eight thousand nine hundred and sixty-four Dollars to the Public Service of the year 1929.

APPOINTMENTS, &c.

No. 672. His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government has been pleased, under the provisions of Statute 4 of the Second Schedule of the University Ordinance, 1911, Ordinance No. 10 of 1911, to nominate the following as Members of the Court of the University of Hong Kong for a further period of three years, with effect from 1st January, 1929:-

No. 673.-His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government has, under instructions from the Secretary of State for the Colonies, been pleased to recognise Herr H. GIPPERICH as Acting Consul in Hong Kong for Germany, temporarily in charge of the German Consulate.

No. 674.-With reference to Government Notification No. 670 and pursuant to section 31 (2) of the Rating Ordinance, 1901, His Excellency the Governor has fixed the 1st day of January, 1929, as the date for the coming into effect of the resolution of the Legislative Council altering the valuation percentage for tenements in Aplichau to 10 per cent.
