EXECUTIVE COUNCIL.

No. 646.

Regulations made by the Governor in Council under section 29 (3) of the Merchant Shipping Ordinance, 1899, Ordinance No. 10 of 1899, on the 1st day of December, 1928.

1. The following fees are hereby determined and prescribed as the fees to be charged for annual licences for fishing stakes and fishing stake-nets:--

(1) For every inshore stake-net, $2.30.

(2) For every offshore stake-net, if in less than five fathoms of water, $4.30;

otherwise $5.30.

(3) Line of stakes and nets, if removed daily, $1.30 for every 100 yards; if not

removed daily, $1.30 for every 10 yards.

2. Table V in the Schedule to the Merchant Shipping Ordinance, 1899, is hereby amended as follows:-

(1) by the addition to regulation 7 of the words "Such boards will be painted and supplied to licensees free of any charge additional to licence fees”. (2) by the substitution of $2.30" for "$2" in line 2 of regulation 10. (3) by the substitution of $4.30; otherwise $5.30" for "$4; otherwise

$5" in line 3 of regulation 10.

(4) by the substitution of "$1.30" for "$1" in lines 4 and 5 of regulation

10.

No. 647.-Sir JOSEPH HORSFORD KEMP, Kt., K.C., C.B.E., having returned to the Colony resumed duty as Attorney General on the 6th December, 1928.

No. 648.-The Pension Minute is amended by the deletion of clause No. 19 and the substitution therefor of the following clause :-

Gratuity to widows of

certain

officers who have served not less than

three years

on the

temporary establish-

ment.

No. 19.

A gratuity at the rate of one month's salary in respect of each complete period of three years' service may be granted to the widow of any officer who has continuously served on the temporary establishment of the Colony for not less than three years and who at the date of his death was in receipt of a salary not exceeding $420 per annum.
