The rainfall for the month of October at the Botanical Gardens was ins. 38 on 2 days, at the Matilda Hospital, Mount Kellett, it was Oins. 48 on 4 days, and at the Police Station, Taipo, it was Oins. '09 on 3 days.

The lowest reading of the barometer (M.S.L.) was 29ins. 813 at 15h on the 28th.

The maximum gust velocity, as recorded by the Dines-Baxendell anemograph, was at the rate of 47 miles per hour at 4h 05m. on the 3rd.
