14. Licensees are not allowed to sell liquor, cigarettes, tobacco or any-
thing of a dutiable nature.
15. Licensees are not allowed to deal in marine wares.
16. Licensees have no claim to hawk on any ship, and the licence may be cancelled when considered necessary by order of the Captain Superintendent of Police. Provided that the licensee may, if he has committed no breach of any of the conditions of his licence, be refunded a proportionate part of the fee paid for the unexpired period of his licence.
17. The licence is only available for hawking in the harbour, and does
not entitle the licensee to hawk on land.
18. The licence must be carried at all times by the licensee when hawk- ing, and must be produced to any Police or Revenue Officer on demand.
2. These regulations shall come into operation on the 1st day of November, 1928.

Regulation made by the Governor in Council under section 5 of the Ferries Ordinance, 1917, Ordinance No. 28 of 1917, on the 25th day of October, 1928.
The regulations made by the Governor in Council under the Ferries Ordinance, 1917, set forth on pages 744-754 of the Regulations of Hong Kong, 1844-1925, under the heading "I. CENTRAL", amended as appears in Government Notifications Nos. 309 of 1926 and 720 of 1927, are hereby further amended as follows:-
(1) by the rescission of regulation 2, on page 744, and the substitution therefor
of the following regulations,—
2. In as far as these regulations are not inapplicable, or are not expressly excluded from application, all the provisions thereof shall apply to every area and licence under the Ferries Ordinance, 1917, for the exclusive maintenance of any ferry or ferries.
21. Except in cases where the grant of a licence under the Ferries Ordinance, 1917, for the exclusive maintenance of any ferry or ferries, is authorised by regulation, made under the said Ordinance, to be without public tender, no such licence shall be granted unless it has been put up to public tender.
(2) by the insertion of the words "including any and every extension thereof” next after the words "the term of the licence" in the sixth line of regulation 11, on page 745.
