7. Larceny Amendment Bill and Magistrates Amendment Bill.-At the request of the Colonial Secretary, permission was granted for the postponement until a later meeting of the introduction of the following two bills which appeared on the agenda under the name of the Attorney General :-
'An Ordinance to amend the Larceny Ordinance, 1865."
"An Ordinance to amend the Magistrates Ordinance, 1890."
8. Appropriation Bill for 1929.-His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government and the Colonial Secretary having addressed the Council, the Colonial Secretary moved the First reading of a Bill intituled “An Ordinance to apply a sum not exceeding Nineteen million four hundred and seventy- eight thousand nine hundred and sixty-four Dollars to the Public Service of the year 1929.”
The Colonial Treasurer seconded.
Question-put and agreed to.
Bill read a first time.
ADJOURNMENT.
9. The Council then adjourned until Thursday, the 4th day of October, 1928.
