1. The Council met pursuant to adjournment. His Excellency the Officer Adminis-

tering the Government occupied the Chair.

MINUTES.

2. The Minutes of the Meeting held on the 12th July, 1928, were confirmed.

3. His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government made a statement

regarding the water shortage.

PAPERS.

4. The following papers were laid on the table :-

Rescission of the Order made by the Governor in Council under the Merchant

Shipping Ordinance, 1899, on 17th July, 1928.

Regulation made by the Governor in Council under section 95 of the Liquors

Consolidation Ordinance, 1911, on 19th July, 1928.
