APPOINTMENTS, &c.
No. 477.-His Majesty the KING has been pleased to approve the appointment of the Honourable Mr. CHARLES GORDON STEWART MACKIE, to be an Unofficial Member of the Legislative Council for such period as the Honourable Sir HENRY EDWARD POLLOCk, K.C., is acting as Attorney General of the Colony.

No. 478.-His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government has been pleased to appoint Mr. ERNEST HILLAS WILLIAMS to be Assistant District Officer, in the Northern and Southern Districts of the New Territories, with effect from 20th August, 1928, in addition to his other duties.

No. 479. It is hereby notified that Ilis Excellency the Officer Administering the Government has been pleased to appoint Mr. ERNEST HILLAS WILLIAMS to be a Magistrate under the provisions of section 7 of the Magistrates Ordinance, 1890, Ordinance No. 3 of 1890, with effect from 20th August, 1928.
His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government has further been pleased to authorise Mr. ERNEST HILLAS WILLIAMS, under the provisions of section 58 of the New Territories Regulation Ordinance, 1910, Ordinance No. 34 of 1910, to hold a Small Debts Court in the New Territories at the following places:---
The Magistracy, Tai l'o, the Land Office, Ping Shan, and the charge rooms of the Police Stations at Au Tau, l'ing Shan, Sha Tau Kok, Sai Kung, Sheung Shui, Lok Ma Chau and Castle Peak, and at the charge rooms of the Police Stations at Tsun Wan, Tai O (Lantao), Tung Chung (Lantao), Cheung Chau, Yung Shu Wan in Lamma Island, and the office of the District Officer, South, situato in the building known as "The Government Offices" situate in Pedder Street, Victoria, Hong Kong, over the General Post Office, with effect from 20th August, 1928.

No. 480.-His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government has been pleased to appoint Mr. JOHN ALEXANDER FRASER to be District Officer, Southern District, New Territories, with effect from 20th August, 1928, in addition to his other duties.
