The above enumerated Articles must be of good quality, deliverable at the Central Police Barracks at such times and in such quantities as may be required.
The successful tenderer will be expected to enter into a bond, containing a penalty in case of failure or refusal to carry out the terms of the tender.
Form of tender may be obtained at the Colonial Secretary's Office, and this form only must be used,
For further particulars apply at the Office of the Captain Superintendent of Police. The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.

Whangpoo Conservancy work about to be undertaken on the left side of the
channel at the Woosung Outer Bar.
NOTICE is hereby given that Conservancy work is about to be commenced along the left side of the channel at the Woosung Outer Bar, and, as a preliminary to such work, a number of piles will be driven about 300 feet apart along the south-eastern edge of the Woosung Spit.
From the easternmost of such piles a flag will be exhibite1 between sun-rise and sun-set and a red light between sun-set and sun-rise. Vessels, of whatever size, are cautioned against attempting to pass to the west- ward of either of these piles.
