An Ordinance to amend the Widows' and

Orphans' Pension Ordinance, 1908.

[3rd August, 1928.]

BE it enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with

the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows:-

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Widows' and Short title. Orphans' Pension Amendment Ordinance, 1927.

2. Section 17 of the principal Ordinance is repealed Amendment and the following section is substituted therefor :-

Rules and Tables contained in the Schedule to this Ordinance, and every pension which began to be payable before the commencement of this Ordinance shall be re-calculated according to the Rules and Tables contained in the Schedule to this Ordinance, in both cases as if the said Rules and Tables had been in force throughout the whole period of contribution upon which the pension in question shall be or is based.

3. Schedule A to the Widows" and Orphans' Pension Repeal of Ordinance, 1908, is repealed and the Schedule to this Schedule to Ordinance is substituted therefor.

I.-FIRST WIFE'S PROSPECTIVE PEXSION.

(A) Pension in consideration of the contributions paid before

marriage.
