No. 381.

Resolution made and passed by the Legislative Council on the 28th day of June, 1928, under the provisions of section 167 of the Public Health and Buildings Ordinances, 1903-1923.

Whereas application has been duly made by the Sanitary Board to the Governor under section 167 of the Public Health and Buildings Ordi- nances, 1903-1923, for the erection of a Public Latrine at Shumshuipo on the area situated to the South-east of New Kowloon Inland Lot No. 460 and facing Sonth on Boundary Street and opposite Kowloon Inland Lots Nos. 2026 and 2027;

And whereas such application having been duly approved by the Governor and a notification of the intention to erect a Public Latrine at such site having been duly published in three successive numbers of the Gazette, a certain owner and occupier of the property in the vicinity has objected to such erection;

And whereas such objection has been duly considered;

It is hereby resolved by this Council that the above mentioned site and the erection thereon of a Public Latrine be and the same are hereby approved.

No. 382. His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government has been pleased to appoint Captain ROBERT FRANCIS WRIGHT, Royal Artillery, to act as his Aide- de-Camp, with effect from 3rd July, 1928.

No. 383.-His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government has been pleased to appoint Chief Inspector WALTER KENT to be an Assistant Superintendent of Police, with effect from the 27th March, 1928.

COLONIAL SECRETARY'S DEPARTMENT.

No. 384.-With reference to Government Notification No. 4187 of 26th of August, 1927, published in the Hong Kong Government Gazette of the 26th of August, 1927, it is hereby notified that the treaty of Friendship, Commerce and Navigation of the 16th of October, 1884, between the United Kingdom and the Republic of Paraguay will con- tinue in force for a period of twelve months from. the 25th of February, 1928, or until the conclusion of a new Treaty which is being negotiated if it is concluded within that period.
