Order and Regulation made by the Governor in Council under sections 37 and 53 of the Telephone Ordinance, 1925, Ordinance No. 9 of 1925, on the 25th day of May, 1928.

1. An addition of $9 to the annual rate or charge of $108 payable by subscribers and mentioned in paragraphs (a) and (b) of the Schedule to the Telephone Ordinance, 1925, as from the end of the year 1928, is hereby approved.

2. The said Schedule is hereby amended, with effect on and from the 1st day of January, 1929, by the substitution of "$117" for "$108" in the first lines of para- graphs (a) and (b) of such Schedule.

Order made by the Governor in Council under the provisions of sub-section (8) of section 14 of the Merchant Shipping Ordinance, 1899, Ordinance No. 10 of 1899, on the 5th day of July, 1928, and Notification thereunder.

It is hereby ordered by the Governor in Council that after the 31st day of July, 1928, and subject to the second proviso contained in sub-section (8) of section 14 of the Merchant Shipping Ordinance, 1899, the provisions of section 14 of the said Ordinance shall apply to all foreign ships while within the waters of the Colony to the same extent as they apply to British ships.

Pursuant to the first proviso contained in the said sub-section (8) the application of the said section to foreign ships, as appearing in the above Order, is hereby notified accordingly.
