9. Principal Civil Medical Officer (Change of Name) Bill.-The Attorney General addressed the Council and moved the First reading of a Bill intituled An Ordinance to give effect to the change in the name and style of the office heretofore known as that of the Principal Civil Medical Officer.

10. Watchmen Bill.-The Attorney General moved that the Bill intituled

Ordinance to provide for the registration and regulation of watchmen be recommitted in order to substitute the word police" for the word "regis tered" in clause' 12.

The Colonial Secretary seconded. Question--put and agreed to.

Council in Committee on the Bill.

Clause 12 passed as amended,

The Attorney General moved and the Colonial Secretary seconded that the Bill

remain in Committee.

Question put and agreed to.

ADJOURNMENT.

II. The Council then adjourned until Thursday, the 5th day of April, 1928.

Ordinance No. 5 of 1928.—An Ordinance to give effect to the change in the name and style of the office heretofore known as that of the Principal Civil Medical Officer. Ordinance No. 6 of 1928.-An Ordinance to provide for the registration and

regulation of watchmen.
