on the 5th day of November, 1917, pre- sented to the Supreme Court of Hongkong by the above-named Society to confirm an alteration of the said Society's objects proposed to be effected by a Special Resolution of the Company unanimously passed at an Extraordinary General Meeting of the said Society held on the 1st day of September, 1917, and subsequently unani- mously confirmed at an Extraordinary General Meeting of the said Society held on the 27th day of September, 1917, and which Resolution runs as follows:----

The following is a description of the Mark:- "A rectangular panel upon a broad band. In the panel a representation of a Mexican Dollar with the words "Dollar" and Cigarettes" respec- tively over and under it within the panel. Over the panel three Dollar signs () within circles. Under the panel an elongated lozenge with the words "British Cigarette Company, Limited" therein. A background consisting of lines converging towards the centre of the Mark. The part of the Mark which will form the back of the package consists of a broad band across the middle and four representa- tions of different dollar coins in the corners linked together by narrow bands with a background consisting of converging lines

in the name of BRITISH CIGARETTE COMPANY, LIMITED, (a British China Company) of 22, Museum Road, Shanghai, Tobacco Manufac turers, who claim to be the sole proprietors thereof.

The Trade Mark is intended to be used by the applicants forthwith in respect of the follow- ing goods:
