NOTICE is hereby given that a Petition was on the 5th day of September, 1917, pre- sented to the Supreme Court of Hongkong by the above named Company to confirm an alteration of the said Company's objects proposed to be effected by a Special Resolution of the Company unanimously passed at an Extraordinary General Meeting of the said Company held on the 19th day of July, 1917, and subsequently unani- mously confirmed at an Extraordinary General Meeting of the said Company held on the 16th day of August, 1917, and which Resolution runs as follows:

"That the provisions of the Company's "Memorandum of Association with respect to its objects be altered so as to read as shown in the print “signed for the purpose of identifica- tion by the Chairman of this Meet- "ing."
AND NOTICE is further given that the said Petition is directed to be heard before His Honour Sir WILLIAM REES-DAVIES, the Chief Justice, on Wednesday the 24th day of October, 1917, at 10 o'clock in the forenoon and any person interested in the said Company whether Creditor, Policy Holder, or otherwise, desirous to oppose the making of an Order for the confirmation of the said alteration under the above Ordinances should appear at the time of hearing, by himself or his Counsel, for the purpose, and a copy of the said Petition will be furnished to any such person requiring the same by the undersigned, the Company's Solicitors, on payment of the regulated charge for the same.
