SANITARY DEPARTMENT,
No. 886.-Tenders will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Tuesday, the 13th November, 1906, for--
The general surface scavenging of, and the collection and removal of household and trade refuse, animal manure and sewer deposits from the City of Victoria and Hill District to the dust boat stations,
For conditions of contract and full particulars, apply at this Office, "Beaconsfield ”.
No tender will be considered, unless the person tendering produces a receipt to the effect. that he has deposited in the Treasury the sum of $250 as a pledge of the bond fides of his tender, which sum shall be forfeited to the Crown, if such person refuses to enter into the usual bond, should the tender be accepted.

The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.

No. 887. --Tenders will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Tuesday, the 27th November, 1906, for Two Hopper Steam Barges.
Capacity of each hopper :--6,000 cubic feet.
Hull to be of mild steel not less than 5/20′′ thick, Material, equipment and
all scantlings of hull to Lloyd's requirements.
Boiler and machinery to Board of Trade requirements.
Accommodation to be provided for seven men.
Draft loaded not to exceed 7′ 6′′.
Speed at load draft 6 knots.
Barges to be fully equipped with anchors, chains and regulation lights.
Tenders to be submitted with detailed specification and plans, stating time and price delivered in Hongkong.
Further particulars can be obtained on application to the Government Marine Surveyor.. The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.
