No. S. 84. It is hereby notified that, on and after the 22nd instant and until further notice, the road from Deep Water Bay to Repulse Bay will be closed to horse and vehicular traffic in order to admit of certain improvements being effected thereto.

No. S. 85.-It is hereby notified that sealed tenders in duplicate, which should be clearly marked "Tender for Laichikok - Gin Drinkers Bay Road", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Monday, the 9th day of April, 1917, for the construction of the Earthworks, Bridging, and Walling, etc., on the Laichikok - Gin Drinkers Bay Section of the Shamshuipo - Castle Peak Road.

No work will be permitted on Sundays.

For form of tender, specification, and further particulars apply at this Office. The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.

THE second class red nun buoy, No. 2, at entrance to Pasig River, Manila Bay, has been discontinued.

SANITARY DEPARTMENT.

No. S. 76.--In accordance with Section 168 of the Public Health and Buildings Ordinance, 1903, (Ordinance No. 1 of 1903), it is hereby notified that the Government proposes to erect a Public Latrine at the west end of Salisbury Road, Kowloon and adjacent to the Ricksha Stand.

If any owner or occupier in the immediate vicinity of such site objects to such erection such objection must be sent in writing to the Colonial Secretary so as to reach his office not later than Friday, the 6th day of April, 1917.

The Latrine will be constructed on the water-carriage system.
