Buoys at Entrance of the River Min placed in position.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Buoys marking the Fairway have been plac ́d in position.

The compass hearings from the Buoys are:---

East Channel Eutrance, or No. 1 Fairway Buoy

204 feet Hill on Black Head,

S. 41° 30′ W.

Sand Peak,

S. 52° 30′ W.

Sharp Peak,

N. 67° 00′ W.

Entrance Shoal Buny (a red 6 foot Nun Bnoy):

204 feet Hill on Black Head,

S. 29° 00′ W.

Sand Peak,

S. 43° 00′ W.

Sharp Peak,

N. 65° 00′ W.

Middle or No. 2 Fairway Buoy :

N.B. The peak shoal to the Southward of Sharp Peak having ceased to exist, the Buoy marking it has been removed and a similar Buoy (Entrance Shoal Buoy) has been placed to mark the Southern Edge of the shoal between No. 1 and No. 2 Buoys,

HYDROGRAPHICAL NOTICES.

ROCKS OFF SQUAT ROCK IN SOUTHERN APPROACH TO SWATOW,

A rock, which has 15 feet over it at low water of spring tides, is situated with Squat Rock bearing N, 53o W., distant 3 cables :

And a rock, which has 11 feet over it at low water of spring tides, is situated with Squat Rock bearing N. 40° W., distant 35 cables

All bearings given are maguetic.
