11. Woods:

(a) birch, belch, elm, oak, fir, willow, ypres elm, larch, alder, asp, poplar, pine, ash, only in fascicles, chips or in the shape of firewoods. Tar. art. 58 par. 1 (a) and par. 2;

(b) timber of every kind other than mentioned in par. (a) of this article in the.

shape of beams, logs, planks, blocks, square beams, round blocks, poles and chips.

12.--(a) Hay of of every description as well as uncleaned straw;

(b) parts of plants in their natural state not specially mentioned in the Cust.

Tar.;

(c) seeds not specially mentioned in the Cust. Tar., decorticated or not decor-

ticated.

13. Stones, natural or roughly hewn:

Flagstones hewn or roughly hewn in cubes and parallelipipedes, silex, quartz, feldspath, porcelain stone (petunse), natural gravel, infusory earth and other stones and earths not specially designated--which are used as materials in factories and works, not prepared, not crushed, calcinated or not. Tar. art. 66.

14. Pit coals, turfs coals, charcoals, cokes and turfs :

(a) Pit coal, turf coal charcoal, turf:

(aa) imported by Black Sea or Azoff Sea;

(bb) by the European land frontier;

(ce) by the Baltic Sea.

(b) Coke :--

(aa) imported by the Black Sea or Azoff Sea;

(bb) by the European land frontier;

(cc) by the Baltic Sea.

Remark. Cokes, pit coal and turf imported by the White Sea are admitted.

15. Gold iu ingots or rolled in strips or leaves except gold in thin leaves which weigh less than 90 dolis per one hundred square inches including the weight of the book. Tar, art. 148.

16. Books, pictures, geographical maps, etc. :---

(A) pictures, drawings, plans, geographical maps, music :-

(a) hand made on paper or canvas, also manuscripts ;

(b) reproduced on paper by any mode of impression, with the exception of objects mentioned under paras. (c) and (d) below. Remark: Oil- prints, engravings, prints, drawings representing pictures, and drawings of Russian artists are admitted;

(c) geograpical charts, maps and atlases;

(d) music.

(B) Books and periodical editions printed by any mode in a foreign language, including those which contain in the text itself or in the appendix, music, geographical maps, plans, engravings, drawings; dictionaries parallel with Russian text.

(C) Books and editions of all kinds printed outside of Russia in the Russian language or with a Russian text, except parallel dictionaries. Tar. art.

17. Samples of materials and different manufactures which have neither the shape nor the character of a merchandise. Tar. art. 218.

18. Sugar which is admitted for importation into the Russian Region of the Far East in conformity with the order by the Minister for Agriculture of 29th April, 1917.

19. All the merchandise included in the two lists of the annex to art. 784 of the Cust. Reg. Collect. of Laws, vol. Y1 ed. 1910.

20. Effects and household articles of persons returning from Finland, as well as their luggage.
