No. 195. - It is hereby notified that all persons wishing to travel to the United States of America must have their passports viséd by a United States Diplomatic or Consular Officer.

No. 196.-It is hereby notified that regulations governing the certification and disinfection of hides, fleshings, hide cuttings, parings and glue stock, sheepskins and goatskins and parts thereof, hair, wool, and other animal by-products, hay, straw, forage, or similar material offered for entry into the United States of America have been received and may be seen on application at the Colonial Secretary's Office.

No. 197.-It is hereby notified that, owing to the delay, due to conditions created by the war, in obtaining new Plant, the Hongkong Electric Company find difficulty in carrying the load necessary for public and private supply especially during the hours between 6 and 10 p.m.

Consumers of clectric light supplied by the Company are therefore earnestly requested to use the utmost economy in the use of light and of fans during the hours mentioned in order that the possibilities of interruption in the supply due to breakdown of the machinery may be avoided.

No. 198. The attention of merchants is called to the Consolidating List of persons and firms on the Statutory List which has just been published and which is obtainable from the Government Printers, Messrs. NORONHA & Co., No. 14A Des Voeux Road Central, at the price of $1 a copy. Trading with any person or firm on the Statutory List is illegal, and merchants should make themselves acquainted with the contents of the Consolidating List and of all subsequent Orders in Council amending the Statutory List. The Consolidating List also contains some notes on trading with the enemy which may be useful to merchants.

No. 199. It is hereby notified that the following charges will in future be made. for plans and tracings supplied by the Crown Land and Survey Office, Public Works Department:-

Sale plan, coloured, unmounted,

Sale plans of an exceptional size are charged for at a higher rate, in the discretion of the Director of Public Works.

Copies of Ordnance and other Surveys.

For the first square foot or part of a square foot,

For every additional square foot or part of a square foot,.

Special rates are charged for tracings on linen, for colouring or mounting plans or tracings, and for lithographed or sunprint copies of existing

maps.

No. 200. The revised list of persons to whom articles to be exported to China which was published as Notification No. 28, and amended by Notifications No. 29, No. 40, No. 53, No. 66, No. 113, and No, 133, published in the Gazettes of January 26th, February 9th, 16th, and 23rd, March 23rd, and 30th, 1917, respectively, is hereby further amended as follows:-

Add the following names :-

Jourdan Ami-Tcheon, Yunnan. Peking Technical College. Sin Hong Ho, Amoy.

Mong Hong, Amoy.

Correction:-

Hogg & Co., Canton, should read Hogg & Karanjia, Ltd., Canton.
