No. 743. His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint WILLIAM JAMES TUTCHER to act as Superintendent, Botanical and Forestry Department, during the absence on vacation leave of STEPHEN TROYTE DUNN, with effect from the 5th instant.

No. 744. His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint FRANCIS WILLIAM WOODLEY VALPY to be Assistant Engineer on the Kowloon-Canton Railway Construction, British Section.

5th September, 1906,

No. 745.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint provisionally and until further notice PHILIP PEVERIL JOHN WODEHOUSE to act as a Police Magistrate in the islands of the New Territories.

No. 746.-With reference to Government Notification No. 239 of the 23rd March, 1906, it is hereby notified that telegraphic information has been received from the Colonial Secretary, Singapore, to the effect that the quarantine restrictions imposed upon arrivals from Hongkong have been removed.
