The Treasurer's attention has been directed to the fact that the provi- sions of the Stamp Ordinance, 1901, as to affixing and cancelling stamps on receipts for money are evaded by many residents and that Honorary Officials of local Societies are habitual offenders. This notice is therefore issued so that parties concerned may take warning and they are reminded that a penalty of $100 for non-compliance may be inflicted in each case.
