ANGLO-PORTUGUESE COMMERCIAL TREATY BILL.-The Attorney General moved the First reading of a Bill intituled An Ordinance to make such provisions as are necessary to enable the Anglo-Portuguese Commercial Treaty to come into force as regards the Colony of Hongkong.

FOREST FIRES PREVENTION BILL.--The Attorney General moved the First reading of

a Bill intituled An Ordinance to make provisions for the better protection of forests, forest reserves and plantations from fire.

CROWN LAND PRESERVATION BILL.-The Attorney General moved the First reading of a Bill intituled An Ordinance to make further provision for the protection of trees on Crown land and other Crown property from wilful damage.

MALAY STATES EXTRADITION AMENDMENT BILL. -The Attorney General moved the First reading of a Bill intituled An Ordinance to repeal in part the Malay States Extradi- tion Ordinance, 1903.

PHARMACY AND POISONS AMENDMENT BILL.--The Attorney General moved the First reading of a Bill intituled An Ordinance to amend the Pharmacy and Poisons Ordinance, 1916.

ALIEN ENEMIES (WINDING UP) AMENDMENT BILL. The Attorney General addressed the Council and moved that the Bill intituled An Ordinance to amend further the Alien Enemies (Winding up) Ordinance, 1914, be withdrawn.

JURORS LIST FOR 1917.-The Council went into Committee to consider the Jurors List in camera.
