YANGTZE RIVER: SHANGHAI DISTRICT.
North Channel Entrance Tsungming Crossing.
Direction of Channel Changed-Buoys to be Moved..
REFERRING to Special Notice to Mariners No. 458, notice is hereby given that on or about the 18th instant the Buoys marking the northern part of the Tsungming Crossing, North Channel Entrance to the Yangtze River, will be moved to mark a new direction of the channel.
The East Entrance Buoy will be moved 3:07 miles, S. 681 E., from its present position. It will then be moored in about 51 feet of water in the fairway leading to the northern entrance to the Crossing. It characteristics will remain unchanged.
The Crossing Buoy will be moved 103 miles, S. 66 E., from its present position. It will then be moored in 21 feet of water on the northern side of the Crossing. Its characteristics will remain unchanged.
The least depth of water on the Crossing as then buoyed will be 14 feet.
All bearings given are magnetic and depths are those of low water of extraordinary spring tides.
