NOTICE is hereby given that at an Ex-

traordinary General Meeting of the Lux SHING HOTEL COMPANY, LIMITED, held at the offices of Messieurs EWENS & NEEDHAM, Solici- tors, Alexandra Building, Des Voeux Road Central, Victoria, Hongkong, on Monday, the 17th day of April, 1916, the following extraor- dinary resolution was passed, viz. :—

"That it has been proved to the satisfaction " of the Company that the Company cannot by reason of its liabilities "continue its business and that it is

advisable to wind-up the Company "and accordingly the Company be "wound-up voluntarily under the "Hongkong Companies Ordinance No. "58 of 1911, and that Mr. CHEUNG "KUPP, the General Manager of the Company be appointed Liquidator "for the purpose of winding-up the "Company and that the remuneration "of the Liquidator be at a sum equal "to $3 per cent, upon the assets of the Company recovered in the winding- up during his period of office as "Liquidator."

NOTICE is hereby given in pursuance of

Section 188 of the Companies Ordinance 1911 that a General Meeting of the members of the above-named Company will be held at the office of Messrs. Wilkinson & Grist, Solici- tors, No. 9, Queen's Road Central, Hongkong, at 12 o'clock noon on Monday the 22nd day of May, 1916, for the purpose of having an account laid before them, showing the manner in which the winding-up has been conducted, and the pro- perty of the Company disposed of, and of hear- ing any explanation that may be given by the Liquidator; and also of determining by extra- ordinary resolution the amount of remuneration to be paid the Liquidator, and the manner in which the books accounts and documents of the Company, and of the Liquidator thereof, shall be disposed of.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Petition Declaration and Office Copies of the British Letters Patent and Final Specification have been duly filed in the Office of the Colonial Secretary of Hongkong, and that it is the in- tention of the above-named Company to apply to His Excellency the Governor-in-Council at 9.30 a.m., on the 18th day of May, 1916, for Letters Patent for the exclusive use within the Colony of the said invention.

Four Chinese boys playing with a life-size paper lion and two paper balls on long sticks on an incline with rocks and a shrub in the background and the sun in a cloud in the right hand The lion occupies the upper corner. centre of the picture and its head is held up by one boy whose face and body can be seen under the head of the paper image. The boy manipulat- ing the hind-quarters of the animal is in a stooping position to the right and only h's legs are visible. The other two boys in the right hand bettom corner with only the upper portions of their bodies in the picture hold large paper balls affixed to long sticks before the lion to entice it forward. A Chinese inscription signifying Artifical Hon-playing" is in the border above the picture and H. M. H. Nemazco's Chinese Hong name in the bottom border of the picture.

The other portions of these borders and these on either side are filled up with flowers.

The Trade Mark is intended to be used by the applicant in respect of the following goods:
