POLICE DEPARTMENT.

No. S. 12.-It is hereby notified that sealed tenders in duplicate, which should be clearly marked "Tender for the supply of Police Reserve Summer Uniform", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Friday, the 21st January, 1916, for the supply of the undermentioned Summer Uniform, which is to be completed. by the 15th March, for the Hongkong Police Reserve, viz.:--

More or less--480 Drill Uniform Suits.

No tender will be received unless the person tendering produces a receipt to the effect that he has deposited in the Colonial Treasury the sum of $100 as a pledge of the bona fides of his offer, which sum shall be forfeited to the Crown, if such person fails or refuses to carry out his tender, should the tender be accepted.

Form of tender may be obtained at the Colonial Secretary's Office.

For further particulars apply at the Office of the Captain Superintendent of Police. No tender will be received unless written on the required form with pattern of drill enclosed..

The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.

NOTICES TO MARINERS.

ON and after the 1st March, 1916, the present Light at Cape Collinson will be replaced by a 5th Order Aga Light of the following:

Character:--Flashing one second light followed by five seconds darkness.

making in all 10 flashes per minute.

This light shows bright to Eastward from N.N.W. to S.S.E. and red to West-

ward. Vessels are warned to keep in bright sector.

NOTICE is hereby given that Ara-su Lighted Buoy on the east extreme of Ara-su off Hommoku-bana has been permanently withdrawn (See Notification No. 1074 of Department of Communications December, 1915) and at the same time, Ara-su Lighted Submarine Signal Buoy moored in the same position.

Notice is hereby given that Kawasaki Buoy S. end of Haneda Spit, Gulf of Tokyo, has been permanently withdrawn (See Notification No. 1075 of Department of Communica- tions December, 1915) and at the same time Kawasaki Lighted Buoy moored in the same position.
