No. 952.-The following Public and General Holidays will be observed as Government Holidays in 1939 :—

It is hereby notified that His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to exclude the Magistrates from the operation of the Holidays Ordinance, 1912, Ordinance No. 5 of 1912, on the 2nd January, 20th February, 8th and 10th April, 29th May, 1st July, 7th August, 4th September, 11th November and 26th December.

The Imports and Exports Department will be open for the purpose of Revenue collection and issue of permits only from 9 a.m. to 12 Noon on all the above days except Sundays, Chinese New Year's Day, Good Friday, 10th October and Christmas Day.
