(2) The conditions of service and remuneration of the Officer Instructor shall be determined by the Governor in Council. The conditions of service of R.N. Instructors shall be as laid down by the Commodore: provided however that their remuneration, if any, if payable from the revenues and assets of the Colony shall be determined by the Governor in Council.

(3) The Officer Instructor is purely a Staff Officer and is not entitled to take command of any of the H.K.N.V. when an officer of the Force is present, except for the purpose of instruction.

An Officer Instructor is appointed to give instruction to the Force. In this capacity he is subject to the orders of the Commanding Officer, and he is required to assist him in carrying on the duties of the H.K.N.V.F.

He is to superintend the Drills and Exercises of the H.K.N.V.F. and is, under the Commanding Officer to have control over the R.N. Instructors as regards their discipline and duties as instructors.
