No. 925.-- His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to approve the following appointment in the Hong Kong Volunteer Defence Corps with effect from 31st October, 1938:-

Dr. JOHN SPENCE HARDY SCOTT, M.R.C.S. (Eng.), L.R.C.P. (Lond.), to be

Lieutenant.

2nd December, 1938.

No. 926. His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to approve the following promotion in the Hong Kong Volunteer Defence Corps with effect from 14th November, 1938:-

Private JOSE MARIA MACHADO ALVES to be Second Lieutenant.

No. 927.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased, under instructions from ehe Right Honourable the Secretary of State for the Colonies, to appoint Miss DOROTHY MARY CAVILL to be an Assistant Mistress (Kindergarten), Education Department, with tffect from 24th November, 1938.

No. 928.-It is hereby notified that Major REGINALD DAVID WALKER. M.C., resumed duty as Manager and Chief Engineer, Kowloon-Canton Railway, British Section,. on the 2nd December, 1938.
