No. 781.-lis Excellency the Governor has been pleased under instructions from the Right Honourable the Secretary of State for the Colonies, to appoint Mr. MAXWELL NORMAN OXFORD to be an Assistant Superintendent of Aerodrome in Hong Kong, with effect from the 28th September, 1938.

COLONIAL SECRETARY'S DEPARTMENT.
With reference to the list of countries which are parties by ratification or accession to the International Convention relative to Motor Traffic, 1926, and their distinguishing marks, published as G.N. 608 in the Gazette of 10th July, 1936, it is hereby notified that with effect from the 1st August, 1938, the distinguishing mark SE formerly allotted to the Irish Free State (now known as Eire) has been replaced by the distinguishing mark EIR.
