No. 762.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased under instructions from the Right Honourable the Secretary of State for the Colonies, to appoint Mr. TREVOR JACK GOULD to be an Assistant Crown Solicitor, with effect from the 28th September, 1938.

No. 763. His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mr. TREVOR JACK GOULD to act as an Assistant Land Officer and Deputy Registrar of Marriages, with effect from the 28th September, 1938.

COLONIAL SECRETARY'S Department.

It is hereby notified for general information that in consequence of the incorporation of Austria in the German Reich the Anglo-Austrian Convention regarding Legal Pro- ceedings in Civil and Commercial Matters of the 31st March, 1931, referred to in G.N. 394 of 17th June, 1932, must be regarded as having lapsed and that the similar Convention with Germany of the 20th March, 1928, referred to in G.N. 347 of 29th May, 1931, is now applicable to the State of Austria as well as to Germany.
