APPOINTMENTS, &c.

No. 755.-The Right Honourable the Secretary of State for the Colonies has been pleased to approve the appointment of Miss NORA WINIFRED BASCOMBE to be a Senior Mistress, Education Department, with effect from 30th April, 1938.

No. 756.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint the Honourable Mr. ROLAND ARTHUR CHARLES NORTH to be Chairman of the Board of Examiners, with effect from 16th September, 1938.

29th September, 1938.

No. 757.- His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mr. HAROLD BARRETT to act as Superintendent of Prisons, with effect from 19th September, 1938, and until further notice.

30th September, 1938.

No. 758.-It is hereby notified that Mr. JOHN BERNARD PRENTIS resumed duty as Assistant Crown Solicitor on the 30th September, 1938.

No. 759.-His Majesty the KING has been pleased to confirm the provisional appointment of the Honourable Mr. STANLEY HUDSON DODWELL to be temporarily an Unofficial Member of the Executive Council in the place of the Honourable Sir HENRY EDWARD POLLOCK, Kt., K.C., LL.D., who is temporarily absent from the Colony, with effect from the 30th day of July, 1938.

No. 760.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mr. WILLIAM LUCAS HANDYSIDE, M.A., B.Sc., to act as Inspector of English Schools, Education Depart- ment, with effect from 26th September, 1938, and until further notice.

No. 761.-With reference to Government Notification No. 354 of 1938, His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint the following additional members to the Committee to advise him in all matters connected with regulation 13 of the regulations made under the Registration of Imports and Exports Ordinance, 1922 :-
