It is hereby notified that His Excellency the Governor in Council has given directions for the rescission of the Order of the 19th February, 1938, published in the Gazette of the 25th February, 1938, as Government Notification No. 149, declaring Haiphong to be a place at which an infectious or contagious disease, namely, small-pox prevailed, and the same is hereby rescinded.

The Quarantine and Prevention of Disease Ordinance, 1936, Ordinance No. 7 of 1936, section 18.

It is hereby declared by order of His Excellency the Governor in Council that Foochow is a place where an infectious or contagious disease, namely cholera prevails.

His Majesty the KING has not been advised to exercise his power of disallowance with respect to the following Ordinance :-

Ordinance No. 7 of 1938.-An Ordinance to authorize the Appropriation of a Supplementary sum of seven hundred and seventy-four thousand three hundred and twenty- one dollars and forty-four cents to defray the Charges of the year 1937.
