No. 659. His, Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint the Honourable Mr. ANDREW LUSK SHIELDS to be a Member of the Volunteer Advisory Committee.

No. 660.- His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to approve of the promo- tion of Major ERIC JOHN REINHOLD MITCHELL, O.B.E., to the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Hong Kong Volunteer Defence Corps, with effect from 18th August, 1938.

No. 661.-In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 6 (1) of the Currency Ordinance, 1935, His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mr. REGINALD ALBERT CAMIDGE to be a Member of the Exchange Fund Advisory Committee, vice Mr. DAVID JAMES GILMORE, M.C., with effect from 25th August, 1938.
