PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it is provided by each of the two under- mentioned Ordinances that it shall not come into operation unless and until the Governor notifies by Proclamation that it is His Majesty's pleasure not to disallow the same and that thereafter it shall come into operation on such date as the Governor shall notify by the same or any other Proclamation:

NOW I, Sir GEOFFRY ALEXANDER STAFFORD NORTHCOTE, Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Governor and Commander-in-Chief of the Colony of Hong Kong and its Dependencies and Vice- Admiral of the same, do hereby PROCLAIM and NOTIFY that it is His Majesty's pleasure not to disallow the under- mentioned Ordinances and that the said Ordinances shall come into operation on the first day of September, 1938-

1. Ordinance No. 25 of 1934, the Merchant Shipping (No. 2) Amendment Ordinance, 1934.

2. Ordinance No. 22 of 1937, the Merchant Shipping Amendment Ordinance, 1937.
