No. 502.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mr. LANCELOT RUGGLES ANDREWES to act as Assistant Crown Solicitor in addition to his other duties, with effect from this date.

No. 503.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to approve the following appointment in the Hong Kong Volunteer Defence Corps, with effect from 14th June, 1938-
Mr. JOHN GORDON BAXTER DEWAR to be Lieutenant.

No. 504.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mr. WALTER HEATHCOTE LOCK to be a Member of the Advisory Committee of the Hong Kong Volunteer Defence Corps, during the absence from the Colony of Mr. JOHN ROBERTSON MASSON, with effect from 13th May, 1938.

No. 505. His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mr. HARRIE VAUGHAN WILKINSON, D.S.O., to be a Member of the Advisory Committee of the Hong Kong Volunteer Defence Corps, during the absence from the Colony of Mr. MARCUS THEODORE JOHNSON, with effect from 2nd April, 1938.
