No. 456.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased, under section 4 of the Midwives Ordinance, 1910, Ordinance No. 22 of 1910, to appoint Dr. ALTA FRANCES STOUT to be a Member of the Midwives Board for a term of three years, vice Dr. GWENDOLYN RUTHI NASH, resigned, with effect from the 16th June, 1938.

No. 457.-In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 6 (1) of the Currency Ordinance, 1935, His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mr. DAVID JAMES GILMORE, M.C., to be a Member of the Exchange Fund Advisory Committee, with effect from 27th May, 1938.

COLONIAL SECRETARY'S DEPARTMENT.

It is hereby notified for general information that the accession by His Majesty in respect of Trans-Jordan to the convention for the unification of certain rules relating to international carriage by air, 1929, having been duly notified, His Majesty in Council has revoked the Carriage by Air (Parties to Convention) (No. 2) Order, 1937, published in the Gazette of 21st January, 1938, as Government Notification 59, and substituted a new Order, namely the Carriage by Air (Parties to Convention) Order, 1938, copies of which may be seen on application at the Colonial Secretary's Office. The schedule to the new Order is similar to that in the 1937 (No. 2) Order, now revoked, save that—--

(i) in the second column the words "The Dominion of New Zealand and Western Samoa❞ are substituted for "The Dominion of New Zealand”, and

(ii) the following item is added:-

His Majesty the King of

Great Britain, Ireland] and the British Domi- nions beyond the Seas, Emperor of India.
