APPOINTMENTS, &c.

No. 434.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mr. RICHARD EDWARDS to be District Officer in the Northern District of the New Territories, with effect from 6th June, 1938.

No. 435.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to authorize Mr. RICHARD EDWARDS, under the provisions of section 58 of the New Territories Regulation Ordinance, 1910, Ordinance No. 34 of 1910, to hold a Small Debts Court in the New Territories at the following places :-

The Magistracy, Tai Po, the Land Office, Ping Shan, and the charge rooms of the Police Stations at Au Tau, Ping Shan, Sha Tau Kok, Sai Kung, Sha Tin, Sheung Shui, Lok Ma Chau and Castle Peak, with effect from 6th June, 1938.

No. 436. His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mr. THOMAS WILLIAM HAROLD HOSEGOOD to act as Deputy Harbour Master, during the absence on leave of Commander JOSEPH BERNARD NEWILL, D.S.O., R.N., (retired) or until further notice, with effect from 28th May, 1938.

No. 437.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mr. WILLIAM JAMES LOCKHART-SMITH to be a Police Magistrate, with effect from 2nd June, 1938.
