No. 273.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mr. JOHN BARROW to be District Officer in the Northern District of the New Territories, with effect from 4th April, 1938.

No. 274. His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to authorize Mr. JOHN BARROW, under the provisions of section 58 of the New Territories Regulation Ordinance, 1910, Ordinance No. 34 of 1910, to hold a Small Debts Court in the New Territories. at the following places :-
The Magistracy, Tai Po, the Land Office, Ping Shan, and the charge rooms of the Police Stations at Au Tau, Ping Shan, Sha Tau Kok, Sai Kung, Sha Tin, Sheung Shui, Lok Ma Chau and Castle Peak, with effect from 4th April, 1938.

No. 275. His Excellency the Governor has approved the relinquishment by Sub- Lieutenant ROBERT PATRICK EDWARDS of his Commission in the Hong Kong Naval Volunteer Force, as from 30th March, 1938.
6th April, 1938.
No. 276.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mr. ARTHUR GOLDEN LANGSTON to be a Member of the Advisory Committee of the Hong Kong Volunteer Defence Corps, during the absence from the Colony of Mr. VINCENT SORBY, with effect from 19th March, 1938.

No. 277.-It is hereby notified for general information that, pursuant to section 5 of the Criminal Procedure Ordinance, 1899, His Honour the Chief Justice has ordered that the next Criminal Sessions for the despatch of the business of the Court shall be held on Tuesday, the 19th day of April, 1938, at 10 o'clock in the forenoon.
