EXECUTIVE COUNCIL.

No. 269.

Government Notification No. 493 dated the 15th July, 1933, authorizing as a cemetery a certain area known as New Stanley Cemetery, situated to the South of St. Stephen's College at Stanley in the Colony of Hong Kong, is hereby cancelled and the following Notification is substituted therefor:

It is hereby notified that His Excellency the Governor in Council has, under section 73 of the Public Health (Sanitation) Ordinance No. 15 of 1935, this day authorized as a place to be used as a cemetery, and to be known as New Stanley Cemetery, the piece of land containing approximately 4.26 acres, situated to the south of St. Stephen's College at Stanley in the Colony of Hong Kong and shown on the plan deposited and which may be seen in the office of the Public Works Department.

No. 270.-The Right Honourable the Secretary of State for the Colonies has been pleased to approve the appointment of Mr. ANDREW NICOL, A.M. Inst. C.E., Chartered Civil Engineer, A.M. Inst. Struct. E., to be an Executive Engineer, with effect from 4th April, 1938, inclusive.

No. 271.—The Right Honourable the Secretary of State for the Colonies has been pleased to approve the appointment of Mr. JACK COOPER FITZ-HENRY to be Superintendent, Fire Brigade, with effect from 8th March, 1938.

No. 272. His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mr. Ts'o SEEN-WAN, C.B.E., LL.D., and the Reverend FRANK SHORT to be Members of the Board of Education for a further period of two years, with effect from the 9th April, 1938, and Mr. BENJAMIN WYLIE for a further period of two years, with effect from the 15th April, 1938.
