NOTICES TO MARINERS.

SPENCER GULF.
THE attention of Masters of Vessels, Pilots, and others is called to the undermentioned preliminary notices, which will be followed at an carly date by notices giving more definite information :—
MIDDLE BANK LIGHTSHIP.
This vessel will be removed on or about the 1st March next, for repairs and overhaul, during which period the Light will be exhibited from a three-inasted Vessel Painted Black. The Light will be shown from the foremast in a position under the forestay. During daylight a Diamond-Shaped Object painted Red will appear on her fore topmast stay.
SHOALWATER POINT OBELISK.
It is proposed to place a White Ball on the top of this Obelisk during the next few days.
PORT VICTORIA.—ROCKY ISLAND CHANNEL,
In the course of a few days this channel will be marked by two Cheese Buoys.
WARD SPIT.
On or about the 2nd March, 1906, a Black Beacon will be erected on Ward Spit, in lien of the Black Buoy now there and the Beacon which disappeared some time ago.
TUMBY BAY.
The north end of Tumby Reef has been marked by a Black Can Buoy surmounted by a Squire-Shaped Cage Head. The Buoy is moored in three and a half fathoms.
JARROLD POINT.
It is intended to at once replace the Bell Buoy on this point, and remove the Red Buoy which has been there temporarily.
This Notice affects Admiralty Chart No. 2389.

NOTICE TO MARINERS.
THE Lights marking, the Channel at the Bar in place of the Light Beacons will, from this day forth, be as follows:-
At the position of the Inner Light Beacon, one fixed Green Light will be shown from the mast of a hulk. At the position of the Outer Light Beacon one fixed Red Light will be shown from the mast of the White Buoy Boat.
Both the above lights will be shown from a height of about twenty feet above water, and will be visible at a distance of about four miles.

Note:---All steamers as well inward as outward bound, should always pass these lights on their own port
