A Red Buoy marks the Eastern extremity of the Niuta Rocks. From the buoy Single Tree bears S. 10° W. distance 9'6 cables.
All bearings given are magnetic.

Kimpai Middle Ground.
A recent survey of the Middle Ground shows that the deepest water is close to the Northern bank of the river.
The Red Buoy at present marking the shoal was discontinued on the 17th instant.
A Black Buoy has been placed to mark the extreme Northern edge of the shoal. Rocky Head bearing S. 80° W. distance 129 miles.
A Red Buoy has been placed in position from which Rocky Head bears N. 61° W. distance 41 cables.
