SONS, LIMITED, (a Company registered under the laws of Hongkong), of 18, Bank Buildings, Victoria, Hongkong, Tobacco Manu- facturers, have on the 18th day of November,
1915, applied for the registration in Hongkong, in the Register of Trade Marks, of the following Trade Marks:-
No. 1. DIVO"
This Trade Mark consists of a panel in which is depicted a landscape with a farmer reaping a field and a woman standing near. Across the left top corner of the panel are the words "Cigarettes first quality" and "Divo' in Russian text, and at the foot of the panel are the words "A. Lopato Sons, Ltd., in Harbin,", also in Russian text.

This Trade Mark consists of a panel in which is depicted a man seated on a flying machine. Across the top of

and "Era" in Russian text, and at the foot of the panel are the words, "Factory Limited--- A. Lopato Sons In Harbin," also in Russian text.
No. 3. GALLIPOLI " This Trade Mark consists of a panel in which is depicted a scene purporting to be the Dardanelles with Gallipoli in the background. At the top of the panel are the words, "Cigarettes first quality Gallipoli". in Russian text, and at the foot of the panel are the words "Factory Limited---A, Lopato Sons-in Harbin," also in Russian text.

No. 4. CALAIS This Trade Mark consists of a panel in which is depicted a landscape show- ing at the left of the panel an irregu- lar
coast lino of mountainous country rising from the level of the sea. In the left top corner is a picture of a Russian soldier; in the right top corner is a picture of a British soldier; in the left bottom corner is a picture of a French soldier; and in the right bottom cornor is a picture of a Belgian soldier. In the centre at the top of the panel are the words,-- "Cigarettes first quality "— Calais", in Russian text, and in the centre at the foot of the panel are the words,-- Factory Limited-A. Lopato Sons- In Harbin." also in Russian 'text.
No. 5. LUZITA "
This Trade Mark consists of a panel in which is depicted an ocean scene with gulls flying at the left hand side. At the top of the panel are the words,- "Cigarettes first quality "Luzita," in Russian text, and at the foot of the panel are the words, --"Factory Lim- ited-A. Lopato Sous in Harbin," also in Russian text.
in the name of A. LOPATO SONS, LIMITED, who claim to be the proprietors thereof.
The Trade marks are intended to be used by the Applicants forthwith in respect of the fol- lowing goods:-
Manufactured Tobacco, all in Class 45. The above mentioned Trade Mark No. 2 is to be associated with Trade Mark No. 36 of 1915.
The Applicants disclaim the right to the exclusive use of the words "Gallipoli" and "Calais" in Russian text appearing respec- tively in the above mentioned Trade Marks Nos. 3 and 4.

OTICE is hereby given that an Extra- ordinary General Meeting of the CHINA FIRE INSURANCE COMPANY, LIMITED, will be held at the registered office of the Company No. 3, Queen's Road Ceneral, Victoria, Hongkong, on Friday, the 3rd day of December, 1915, at 12 o'clock Noon, when the subjoined Resolution will be proposed as an Extraordinary Resolu- tion, viz.:---
That the Articles of Association of the Com- pany be altered in manner following:--
(a) Article 19 shall be cancelled.
(b) In Article 50 in lieu of the words Twenty-one clear days notice" there shall be substituted the words "Ten days notice at least of every Meeting". (c) The following Article shall be sub-
stituted for Article 53, namely:

shall be transacted at any
· Meeting unless there shall be personally present at the commencement of the busi- ness Ten or more Share- "holders".
(d) Article 64 shall be altered by striking out all words after the words "upon a poll every shareholder" and by adding after such words
present in person or by proxy shall have one vote for every share held by him ".
And notice is hereby also given that a further Extraordinary General Meeting of the Company will be held at the registered office aforesaid on Saturday, the 18th day of December, 1915, at 12 o'clock Noon for the purpose of receiving a report of the proceedings at the first mentioned Meeting and of confirming, if thought fit, as a Special Resolution the above mentioned Resolu- tion.
