Wreck of S.S. "Seiun Maru" off Chimwangtao.

REFERRING to Special Notices to Mariners Nos. 384 and 393, notice is hereby given. that the wreck of the S.S. Seiun Maru, sunk off Chinwangtao on 26th January, 1913, has been cut down to a level having a depth over it of 23 feet at low water of spring tides.

From the position of the wreck the Chinwangtao Light bears N. 71° W., magnetic, distant 36 miles.

No. S. 260.-It is hereby notified that sealed tenders in duplicate, which should be clearly marked "Tender for the supply of labour for Watering the Streets", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Tuesday, the 23rd November, 1915, for the supply of labour for Watering the Streets in the City of Victoria for one year ending 28th February, 1917.

In dry weather one Chinese foreman and not more than twenty coolies will be required every day and they will be required to work eight hours a day.

Tenderers must produce a receipt that they have deposited in the Colonial Treasury the sum of $100 as a pledge of the bona fides of their tender, which sum shall be forfeited to the Crown, if any tenderer fails or refuses to carry out his tender, should the tender be accepted.

For full particulars apply at the Office of the Secretary to the Sanitary Board. For form of tender apply at the Colonial Secretary's Office.

The successful tenderer will be required to sign a formal contract containing condi- tions to be prescribed by the Board and also to give security by depositing a sum of $200 in the Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation in the name of the Honourable Colonial Treasurer: failing compliance with these requirements the sum deposited by the tenderer will be forfeited.

The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.

No. S. 261. It is hereby notified that sealed tenders in duplicate, which should be clearly marked “Tender for the Fish-refuse Contract", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Tuesday, the 23rd November, 1915, for the daily collection and removal of fish-refuse from the Government Markets at Sai Ying Pun, Western, Central and Wanchai Districts, So Kon Po, Yaumati and Tsim Sha Tsui for the period of one year, from the 1st March next.
