Japan Sea. Installation of New Light.

A new light has been installed in Tatarsky Strait on Cape Milioutine at the entrance of Imperatorskaia Gavan (Imperial Harbour).

Location: Lat. 49° 02′ North.

Long. 142° 20' East.

Description --White octangular tower.

Character of light : ---Red and white permanent.

Power of light: 750 candles.

Arch of light - Red light from 10° to 211°, white light from 211 to 216°, Visibility 102 miles.

Elevation of lights above surface of the sea :----

-78 feet.

During fog a bell is sounded.

The enclosing of the southern channel of the Amour Estuary has been completed on June 1 (14th).

The flashlights of Closter Camp Lighthouse which were temporarily discontinued have been resumed from the 4th (17th) June.
