SHANGHAI DISTRICT.

Yangtze River-Langshan Crossing.

Alteration in Buoyage.

REFERRING to Special Notice to Mariners No. 437, notice is hereby given that the following changes in the buoyage of Langshan Crossing have been made."

The Vine Point Lower Buoy is now moored in 42 feet at low water of spring tides. From the Buoy, Fushan Pagoda bears S. 741° W., distant 2-3 miles.

The Waterman Bank Buoy is now moored in 30 feet at low water of spring tides. From the Buoy, Fushau Pagoda bears S. 41° W., distant 16 miles.

The Vine Point Buoy is now moored in 29 feet at low water of spring tides. From the Buoy, Fushan Pagoda bears S. 17° W., distant 2.7 miles.

The Waterman Bank Upper Buoy has been changed in colour from black to red, and now marks the eastern side of the channel. It is moored in 40 feet at low water of spring tides. From the Buoy, Langshan Pagoda bears N. 50° E., distant 7'6 miles.

The Lower Crossing Buoy is now moored in 30 feet at low water of spring tides. From the Buoy, Langshan Pagoda bears N. 521° E., distant 6-7 miles.

The Upper Crossing Buoy is now moored in 28 feet at low water of spring tides. From the Buoy, Langshan Pagoda bears N. 531° E., distant 5:25 miles.

All bearings given are magnetic.

The accompanying plan* shows the conditions existing on the 12th March, 1915.

Water Shoaling off Shaweishan.

REFERRING to Special Notice to Mariners No. 438, notice is hereby given that recent soundings taken in the vicinity of Shaweishan give depths in feet at low water of spring tides as shown on the accompanying plan.*
